SNGPL to Suspend Gas in Islamabad Areas on October 19 and 20

SNGPL will suspend gas supply in several Islamabad areas on Monday night, October 19, for pipeline work. From 9 PM to 6 AM, the affected locations include Ghouri Town, Sohan, Gulberg Town, Shakrial, Rehman Garden, Burma Town and Garden Town.

Which areas the SNGPL shutdown covers

The 9 PM to 6 AM window also includes Lehtrar Road from Khanna Pul to Burma Town, and the Faizabad-to-Khanna Pul service road on the east side. Blue Area, G-7 and adjoining areas are on a later window: 10 PM to 6 AM on Tuesday, October 20. Residents are advised to keep gas appliances switched off during the outage.

Why it matters

The work is on the pipeline, and the two groups of neighbourhoods do not start at the same hour. Appliances left on through the outage are the risk residents are told to avoid.

What happens next
